I have many little catch phases to get things motivated and get through a task, a day or just life in general.
Let's have a look and what I say and why I say it. It may help you with that nudge of kick up the ass you need to get to where you are going
CatchPhrases
Show up - 80% of what you do is showing up, 20% is what you do when you are there. Once you show you. You have a choice to either do it or not do it. Now you have shown up you may as well do it right?
Eat Well - What does that mean? are you freaking kidding me? You know what that means, your kids know what that means, your grandparents know what that means, even your dog knows what that means. - Eat a well balanced diet of meat, veggies, fruits, nuts, and dairy. A balance of each. Not too much of one but a balance. Yes treat yo'self once in a while. But overall eat a bit of everything but for god sake each your fruits and veggies!
Be Consistent - You know that one friend that lives off that one story where he ran a 5k 10 years ago? But you know that when you think of him/her as a runner because he/she has not ran since that 5k. That is not who they are. - You only become who you want to be by the sum of your habits and routines. So be consistent. If you want to fit and healthy, you got to be consistent with exercise and eating well. If you want to be known as a hard worker, you got to be consistent hard working so people see that. Be consistent in what you do, it makes you who you are and who you want to be.
Do your best -This is the one thing that frustrates me as a coach. I could coach 100 people and I can tell the people who are giving their all and their best and I can see who are just going through the motions. It's funny the people that aren't giving their best are the ones first to complain about being tired or that it's hard work. They have no idea what their best is and being just "okay is okay." guess what? the okay becomes an okay life. But if you are trying to give everything in whatever task you are doing the sense of achievement and inner confidence increases and you feel better about yourself.
Look Sharp - You have to look after yourself, the way you clean, dress and eat and exercise all helps for your self image and self confidence. You all know how that dressing in a suit or your favourite outfit makes you stand up a little taller and feel better about yourself. If you look like a slob you will feel like a slob.
Act Sharp - Sometimes you gotta fake it until you make. If you act the way you want to be, you send your brain and body signals that this is becoming a habit and part of who you are.
If you act confidence you end up being confident. If you act like someone that exercises and eats well you will become that person. It's like method acting, become who you want to be.
Be Sharp - If you dress the part and act the part = you will be that part. By changing the environment around you and changing your mindset and behaving like someone that you want to be you will automatically be that person and people will see you as that person.
