Home Gym isn't that expensive?

Hi Team

I have the worlds greatest gym.

It's taken 4 years to gather and create.

Why did I make a home gym?

I didn't have time to travel to and from the local gym which was 20 mins away from my house once I had my first child.

The first thing I made was a free standing pull up bar. I love pull up bars they are all you need for a great upper body workout and overall strength.

I have a couple of pairs of dumbbells 10kg and 17.5kg.

That was the start.

Then then over the years added barbells, kettlebells, weight plates, squat stands, a bench, battles ropes, landmine, trap bar. - this is over 4 years.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

The best thing about having a home gym, it means you don't have an excuse not to do something but also... it't not a public gym!

I like public gyms they are the best place to workout if you don't have a home gym.

So I thought I'd give you all the equipment you need and why going from starter home to the best gym in the world.

This article made me think and laugh.

It is now national news that people are making a pack lunch to go to work.

I think good.

I always think our great grandparents and grandparents had a simpler life and health issues werent so previlent neither was obesity.

Financially years ago when I was in debt by thousands on my credit card, a good friend sat me down and asked how much I was spending on lunch or dinners at work (I work shifts) looking at bank statements it was nearing £350 a month on eating out at work!

What an idiot.

Now I have the one of the biggest lunch bags at work and my colleagues are always making comments about it.

What is in my lunch bag? I have breakfast at work too at around 11am or 12pm.

aeropress

ground coffee

steel cup

tea bags

tub of greek yoghurt with honey and berries

tub of granola

protein powder

bag of bagels

a jar of peanut butter

knife

fork

spoon

phone charger

2 apples

Workouts

6 Move Change

This month is the start of a new Workout programme, well... an old one. I have gone back to the orignal 6 week programme I designed in around 2017.

The programme is a 6 week hard hitting strength and HIIT programme that I designed to only have 6 moves to really get the most of the workout that day.

It will be interesting to see how things go....

What are you listening to?

This is Eric Thomas, He is one of the best motivational in the world and he changed my life and I didn't realise it.

I listened to him for ages and just kinda taking his advice and keeping my thoughts in line.

With running recently, sometimes I need something motivating before the run or on the run. I either listen to Army Cadence Songs and I then remembered ET the Hiphop Preacher. It's been years since I listened to him and BOOM I ran with more purpose.

He is great.
