How to build big muscles

Hi Team

Let's talk about getting stronger and making the gainz with bigger muscles.

We know that nutrition is important, especially when losing body fat, but to grow muscles we need to stimulate the muscles first in the gym to kick start the growth process. Then the nutrition is important afterwards to aid the recovery and the growth in-between workout sessions.

Going back to school we were taught that eating the right things and getting fit and health was like a science. If everybody ate fruits and veggies, didn't over eat, exercised, then we would all be fit, healthy, look and feel good.

Why is that?

The human body is the same for every human body around the world.

We at a scientific level are the same as each other, without our personalities and characteristics as the basis of human anatomy we are all the same.

This means that whatever you wish to achieve in the gym or with fat loss, the same scientific principles apply.

To lose weight - don't consume more calories than you need.

To build muscle - lift weights that get heavier over time.

This is the same for everybody!

But for years and years we are being sold by fitness magazines and 25 year old fitness influences in steroids that we are all unique and everyone is different that "THEIR WAY" is the only way to get fit and healthy.

Now look, I am a guy with a very small business trying to sell you personal training session or fitness programmes. I am also here to tell you that if you keep to the fundamentals of lifting weights that get progressively heavier and you eat less junk, you will get fit and healthy and I am trying to influence your habits by saying you don't need to spend an hour in the gym. Life is too short.

The reason you don't have to spend an hour in the gym to get fit and grow your muscles is due to science and the fact that I am the same as you when it comes to basic physiology.

There is no mystery surrounding the requirements of growing your muscles and getting stronger - It comes down to - the intensity of effort and this is true for everyone.

It is true that some peoples muscles my get stronger or bigger faster depending on training adaptability or genetic DNA.

But we all grow stronger and faster if our own intensity is at it's maximum as the body needs to adapt to that maximum effort therefore breaking down and growing in the rest and recovery between workouts.

If you want your muscles to get progressively stronger, sometime in your workouts need to get progressively alter.

The only 2 things you can change in your workouts is either:-

Duration

Intensity

Well, if duration was a factor in growing bigger and stronger muscles in the gym then we would all be in the gym 24 hours a day and be as big as houses.

So duration doesn't work for bigger and stronger muscles.

In order for a workout to be productive -

1. You must stimulate the muscles to grow!

You do this by intense hard workouts that are short.

2. You must allow the body to repair and recover!

You do this by resting and eating the right things and not going back to the gym until you feel fully recovered so you can then do another hard intense workout.

Once the body has recovered and repaired what you have used from an intense workout, then and only then will it grow.

But your workouts must be intense enough to get the muscles stimulated to grow.

The workouts that are highly intense will use the body's reserves while working out and then stimulating the muscles to grow while you are resting and recovering.

How to make your workouts intense:-

Lift weights that at 5 - 8 reps you are going to fail.

Lift weight slowly - don't use momentum! use the muscle!

Rest periods should be short - enough to get your breath back

Go into the gym with a plan - don't make it up while you are there!
