New challenge day 10 - rest recover grow

Hi team


Day 10 of old skool strength and I didn't work out today.


There is something that people forget when they workout.


You don't need to work out everyday.

That actually causes more problems then solutions.


I listened to a Mike Mentzer speech about bodybuilding and it's a point I always forget.


Stimulate the muscles in the gym

Then you need to rest

Then helps your body recover

Then and only then does the body adapt and grow.


If you don't allow the body to rest and recover properly after a hard workout it doesn't get the chance to adapt and grow.

Recover

Grow


A lot of people work out half assed then rest, rest, rest, rest workout.


Others workout, workout, workout workout, workout, rest, party, party, workout etc...


I like working out 3 days a week really hard and resting 4 days a week and sometimes add a fitness class here and there.


But I do try and walk everyday.


And I enjoy my rest.


My friends all know on a day of I need my afternoon nap!


Remember life is intense.

Make sure you rest and recover.


But make sure you get back at it once you are recover and don't fall into the rest rest rest... cant be arsed.


Get back at it - earn the right to nap on your days off!
