Hi team
No workout today.
Family issues have been the order of the day and I wont be writing about it.
So here is some old notes about being a father and fitness.
Being a father and fitness
Becoming a father was a life changing event that some of us are lucky to be able to do in our lives.
But with becoming parent I knew that this would be the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
It would be exhaustingIt would be relentlessIt would be a 24/7 endless war with a new life battling with who I was before and who I am now as a father.
There was a phrase I kept using.
"just get it done."
Whatever the issue or task was, there was little time to get a thought or dwell on the stress or possible consequences.
Just get it done.
This was a challenge.
This was the first time I had to really look at myself and with a no excuses mentality, whatever my family needed what ever the time of day or night.
Just get it done.
Have you ever just been a situation where you over think and the worry consumes you?
That was me. But rising up to the challenge and just getting it done, is sometimes the only way to push through.
I have had to change my 5 day 1 hour workouts to be more effective and efficient.
The workouts are 10-20 mins long
3 days a week
Intense, hard but quick (that's what's she said)
But the same attitude of just get it done is there.
Fitness and that 20 min workout is exactly that me working the stuff out on my own or with a friend and just getting it done.
So I can come back and be a man that my son and daughter look up to and my better half can be proud of.
Maybe it's time to get it done in your life.
Becoming fit and healthy helped me be a better man.
Chris
