Hi Team
I lost table tennis today - or is it ping pong?
But technically I won, as my kids were jumping on and off a trampoline so I was distracted with their safety while playing. So I won at being a father as the kids came home without any injuries.
I didn't work out today. I didn't feel like it and I was a little sore from yesterdays workout.
I learned from Mike Mentzer "Soreness isn't the measure of growth. You must rest to allow your body to adapt and grow. It's in rest that the body change, exercise is the spark to make it happen." - or something like that.
I finished the documentary series "Live to 100" on Netflix.
I loved it.
Simple advice in how to live healthy and be happy.
Walk
do some gardening
See friends
Be part of a community
drink wine
do some exercise
Have a purpose to wake up each day.
The one I'm tentative on was
Elders in the families living close by.
The thought is that you gain wisdom from the elders in the family and learn things from generations and they learn from the younger generations as well as being cared for if needed. Also it helped the elders still feel part of the family and community.
I love the idea.
Not sure if living near my parents would make me live longer.
It may mean their life is shorter!
But then a friend of mine has his family local to him and it is really nice to see how close his whole family are. But he doesn't have my parents!
