New challenge - day 7 & fitness classes

Hi team

Its Sunday and I didn't do any workout from 'old skool strength' today as I enjoy going down to my local community and doing their sunday circuits.

It's a family circuit class where kids and their parents can come and have an hour of fitness together.

There are kids as young as 10 and more wise and probably the fittest 60+ people in the world there.

Jason the coach, normally has 4 people per station and around 20 sessions that you repeat twice in the session with very little rest.

The great thing about these sessions are there up to 40 people somedays and the sense or community is really present.

The exercises are mainly bodyweight or with light weights so it works for everyone.

These sessions are normally my cardio when I get to them.

For the last few weeks I found these sessions really hard. I couldn't figure out why. I never used to struggle let alone really struggle.

So what changed in the last week.

Oh yeah I increased my calories and started a new workout programme.

Calories mean energy! And remember excess calories are the energy you have not used and its saved for later... that's called body fat.

And although I haven't been doing any other cardio except walking or cycling at work sometimes. I thought there is something about the clean and press exercise that is caridio-esque.

My heart races after clean and presses in the same why kettlebell swings or a lap around the block does!

So maybe the fact I'm doing this one full body explosive move every day with varying weights and intensity has had an effect on the fitness!

Also maybe it's the extra calories!

Or maybe its magic!

It doesn't matter, I'm feeling stronger and fitter already in a week of "old Skool strength'

So moral of the story.

Get to a circuits class once a week.

Its great for the fitness

And it's even better for a community that you can be involved it which is great for your emotional health and making some new friends.
