New challenge day 8 - no sleep and breakfast ideas

Hi team


Man o man, it was a tough night with the kids last night, the hot weather does not prepare you for the lack of sleep with young kids!


I would say it's as bad as new born sleeping patterns up every couple of hours!


So going back to work today was a massive struggle and I didn't really switch on until around 11am! I think my team would have said the same! The morning team talk, I was really all over the place! But we cant be perfect all the time right?!?


After work, the family and I went to a sunflower field and took some pictures and my better half is so happy with the photos! Which is really nice to see.


People ask me a lot about what I eat.


Lets talk breakfast.


I hate with a passion cereals.


No goodness, and sugar until your eyeballs pop out.


They are convenient but nobody every sticks to the recommended serving size so you already over eat at the first meal of the day and full of sugar, which means you crash mid morning and crave more food!


But of you can eat a filling nutritious breakfast with a bit of protein, carbs and fiber than you are onto a winner.


My go to meal is:-


Fat free Greek yogurt

Granola

Honey

Frozen berries

Chia seeds

Flaxseeds

Mixed nuts


If I have time I'll make French toast


3 eggs

Wholemeal bread

Tomato sauce


Omelette

Ham

Cheese

Peppers

Onions


Poached eggs on toast

2 eggs

Wholemeal bread

Tomatoes

Salt and pepper


Porridge

Rolled oats

Milk

Berries

Honey

Chia seeds

Flaxseeds

Mixed nuts


Protein shake

With 2 pieces of fruit


On sundays as a family we sometimes we have croissants on one Sunday a month for a treat.


There is nothing better than a nice crossiant and a cup of tea!


There are 7 meals for breakfast if you have time to cook.


All have the right amount of protein, carbs and fats to make you feel good and not feel like you are crashing mid way through the day.


7 days of different breakfasts.


That's better than eating coco pops 365 days a year!
