The New Year has hit hard with finding a new mortgage, car insurance due, home insurance due and my car has been in the garage for the last 3 weeks and the bill was way more expensive than I wanted it to be!
But that is life, sometimes things get in the way of where you think you are or where you are heading.
The aim is not to get knocked down by set backs but take a breath and realign your thoughts and behaviours to where you want to be.
Nobody likes the "woe is me" or "I'm the victim" mentality. Les Brown said "50% of people listening don't care and other 50% glad it's happening to you and not them!"
One famous author once said "The meaning of life is suffering."
I like to think suffering comes in spells and seasons, what helps you get through it are friends, family and not letting the suffering define you are who you are as a person.
You define you by how you react to it and overcome it.
With the New Year here, it's about setting plans and goals, that could be career, personal, holiday, and health goals.
This isn't the time to blame the food or your parents or where you have come from.
What are you going to do about it? to plan the holiday, career progression, get healthier?
You need to set the plan and step by step take the action towards the goal.
Have a plan for finances, friends, family and fitness, write the down and get to it.
