Nutrition and Eating is as simple as...


Eat a Well Balanced Diet.


Nutrition for health, strength and fat loss is really simple. Over the last 70 years people have made it so confusing that selling the idea of just eating a well balanced diet doesn't make anybody any money.


But the truth of the matter is, that the body needs a well balanced diet to thrive and to be healthy. It is when people eat in excess or too little that is when the health issues start.


A well balanced diet is one that provides the body all the nutrients it needs.


The body does not utilize nutrients beyond what it needs, so if you over eat there is an excess of nutrients that are wasted and either peed or pooped out or added to the body as fat to save energy for later.


Why do you need nutrients and calories from food for?


You need them to maintain your current body shape and health and provide for growth.


Muscles are not mostly protein so spending hundreds of pounds on protein supplements and just eating protein will not make you get bigger muscles and lose fat. If that were the case everybody would just eat protein and just protein.


Muscles are 72% water.


But you cant just drink water either to gain muscle other.


You need the combination of a well balanced diet with carbs, fats and proteins for your muscles and body to be the best they can be.


But you must stimulate your muscles for them to grow. So your training must be intense and hard to stimulate the growth of muscle and kick start the fat loss process.


Nutrition comes second as the nutrition helps with the repair or muscles along with resting and recovery.


Bigger muscles are not made in the gym, the growth hormone is stimulated by training in the gym, and the resting and eating a well balanced diet adds in the recovery and growth.


The body will use what it needs from what you eat to grow as long as you are eating a well balanced diet.


The four food groups are:-


Cereals and grains

Fruits and veggies

Meat, fish and poultry

Diary products


Supplements


Supplements are there to, well you guessed it supplement a well balanced diet. So if your diet isn't getting enough protein to maintain your muscles or help repair the muscles are a workout then a protein shake will help. But more does not equal better. Drinking 6 protein shakes a day wont mean you grow bigger muscles.


You need to stimulate the muscles in the workout and then with a well balanced diet the body will use the protein it needs to help the muscle recover and grow. If you cant get enough protein in your diet then yes, throw in a protein shake.


But if you are eating well balanced diet actually means you are getting all the nutrients you need and the right amount of calories to thrive.


Supplements are there if you are deficient or lacking in a nutrient. Then a supplement should be added.


Protein shakes are good for on the go, a quick snack.

Multivitamins are fantastic at making sure you have the right amount of micronutrients and minerals to supplement what maybe deficient in food.


If you eat a well balanced diet with the right amount of calories for to maintain your body mass then your body will thrive.


If you eat a well balanced diet with slightly more calories than you need and you stimulate your muscles in the right way from your workouts, the body will use those extra calories to help your body grow.


If you eat a well balanced diet with slightly less calories than you need and you train and burn calories, your body will use the extra storage of fat as calories therefore helping with fat loss.
