The Fundamentals of food
Protein:- Protein helps build muscle and keeps you feeling fuller for longer.
Fats:- You need fats to help with brain clarity and energy.
Carbohydrates:- These are not the devil! You are allowed to eat them! And guess what carbs are good for you! They help with energy and help protein absorb into the body.
You need all three to feel good on the inside. Yes you could always cut out one and you would lose weight but your body will be out of balance and will start to crave the one you cut under you end up binging on it!
I’m sure we have all been in that situation where you have cut out carbs for a week and then we eat all the cake and pizza in a day and then we feel like crap because we have “ruined” the diet. Well, your body wanted the carbs! But maybe not ALL the cake AND pizza!
With this 30 day programme you will be eating proteins, fats and dare I say it carbs!
We need that balance to feel Whole Happy and Healthy! See how this all knits together in the company title?
Author Michael Pollen has a great three line summary of how to eat with
“Eat real food, mostly plants, not too much.”
Now, I’m not getting into the whole vegan, vegetarian thing. But the fundamentals are there in that sentence.
Eat real food, Mostly plants (not all just mostly fruits and veggies) oh yeah, and don’t eat too much food!
Body fat is the excess, it is the gluttony, it is the friend of the lazy. There is time to be lazy after doing the work! If you haven’t worked or earned the lazy then it’s time to change! Don’t eat too much.
Ever wonder why the fancy restaurants have small meals? Well that is actually the right portion size for the body to feel full but we are all so used to the cheap over boxed fast food and we must finish the box of food! Right now! Instead of listening to our body and releasing that we were full after the hamburger, we didn't need the chips, the onion rings, the salad and the milkshake.
It is time to go back to the fundamentals of Pollen, and your grandmother
Eat food, mostly Plants, and not too much. #
