Hi Team
Long time no speak! - I have had a lot of change in the last 6 months or so. This has meant the coaching has taken a bit of a back seat. Until now...
I had a tough end to 2023 with the passing of my father suddenly... you can see previously minimal blog posts about that time...
Anyway, early 2024 I changed roles within the company I work for which has meant that, the family and I had to adapt to a new working schedule.
The nice thing about this is that I have been able to cover more fitness classes at the local community centre in Charlbury. There is a great guy named Jason that runs circuit classes on Thursdays and Sundays and when he is on holiday, I cover and absolutely love doing it. My son has become obsessed with fishing, so I have had to learn how to fish and again it's something that I am really enjoying and the time with my son and his excitement is immense to see. My 2 year old daughter isn't scared of the maggots but the 4 year old boy is! --- kids are funny things!
We have been on a few camping trips and again there is just something about being out in nature which is incredible and there is a sense of resetting when camping. Which is probably needed after the end to 2024.
oh, and I got married!
Twelve years with my better half, 2 kids and a mortgage it was about time!
It was a fantastic day where we spent time with the friends and family that have helped and supported us over the last 12 years. It was a chilled and relaxing day - and whoever has said that about a wedding.... Maybe ask my better half .... she may have a different answer! and last but not least 2 weeks ago , I received a call from a coach who is moving on from coaching classes and asked if I wanted to take the time slot and life has aligned for me to do so!
So for the first time since 2019 I will be coaching my own regular fitness class! I'm very excited!
Workout and the fitness class
What are you listening to?
I found my newest favourite band, I went to see them in their first UK gig and they killed it.
The Red Clay Strays.
You heard it here first!
I first heard of them in May on Bob Harris' Country show on Radio 2.
The song was "Wondering Why" - it was our wedding song.
Since then I have become obsessed. It's been a long time since I completly fell in love with a new band/artist. It's always a nice feeling.
Check them out and here is our wedding song.
Nice to be back!
