Hi Team
It is a new year and I have taken up to noting things down to kind of clear my mind and keep an idea of what goes well or badly in a day.
One of my mentors legendary Strength coach Dan John sent out an email this week reflecting on his last year.
He had 3 titles to reflect upon were:-
What were the best bits of the year?
What were the worst bits of the year?
What did I learn this year?
Now, 2023 was one of the hardest years, I've ever had, there was a lot of stress and hard work personally and family wise, along with work and finding that in certain aspects mediocrity is now acceptable from senior managers.
I'm going off topic.
I won't be listing the best and worst bits of last year as they are personal and not very interesting to you.
I think the things I learned maybe more surprising and interesting. I sat with some jazz playing an open page and a pen and just wrote things that I learned last year.
The profound and the simple.
So here we go, maybe you will learn something too.
Hard boiled eggs are the best snack - always have a few in the fridge

Plan the following day, the night before. - (something I need to work on more)
Lifting heavy weight surprising makes you stronger
Peanut butter and a bagel is the second best snack
Slow down lifting weights and contract the muscles works for size and strength

For the first time in my life, I'm not sure if the career that I do full time will be my career for the rest of my life.
I need time alone to really thrive around people
Ebay is the best place to buy second hand items
Sunspel riveria polo t-shirts size small are my favourite t -shirts

I still have to stop myself going into depression and I have to work really hard to make sure I don't allow myself to. - Mental positivity is always my starting point - "just get it done"
I like spending time with my family outdoors
I like getting things done in the morning
