What is the Problem?.... Advice so Simple It Hurts.

Hi team

I have been at a problem solving conference this week. It is full of clever people talking about how to solve problems in different ways.

There is a nemonic that is used a lot.

SARA

Scan - for the current picture of the problem, what is the history behind the problem.

Analyse - Once you have that picture with all the facts, and evidence, what does it mean? and what could be causing the problem in the first place?

Response - What are you going to do to solve the problem?

Assessment - Asses the results of what you did to solve the problem? did it work? did it not? or what needs to be improved on? and if the results weren't as expected why not? and retry.

Then one speaker came on and just said

"You just need to ask yourself 'What is the actual problem?' and you have to take responsibility to solve it."

3 days of speakers and it was summed up nicely in a sentence.

I thought about the problem people have with fat loss or trying to gain muscle.

And Taylor Swift summed it up in less than a sentence.

What is the actual problem?

What are you going to do about it?

Problem:-

"I'm overweight."

What do I need to lose body fat?

"Track what I eat and go for a walk everyday."

Problem:-

"I'm weak and want bigger muscles"

What am I going to do about it?

"I need to lift heavy weights at least 3 days a week and eat more healthy.

So you can be really clever and Scan, Analyse, Respond and Asses your problem or you already know what the actual problem is.

The answers to most problems, you already know.

So what are you going to do about it?

What are you reading?

I read this article this week by Brad Pilon.

This is such good advice and so simple it makes me hurt!

It's titled

My Fitness Programme

"Eat Responsibly (You know what this means).

Berries, mangos, bananas, pears - keep your fruit intake high. A 24 hour fast every 5 days, nothing longer, and not more often.

Don’t stress over protein, 1 shake in the evening, aim for between 70-100 grams per day This is all you need

Eat responsibly, lots of fruit, get your protein and occasionally fast.

Creatine is your main supplement, a couple times per day, even when fasting.

Weight training - Simplify. Challenge yourself. Progress, then Rest.

Get Active, Stay Active. - Walk, Stretch and Move.

That’s it.

That’s all you need to Maintain and Build Muscle.

Don’t overthink it and don’t forget to rest.

Sauna, Walk, Nap, Read.

 Be kind to yourself."

What are you listening to?

This song is just a cool and sexy smooth song.
