Why do you workout?

What is it about working out?

People often ask me "Why do you workout so much?"

I try and not look confused as I really don't think I workout that much especially compared to when I was not a father.

Nowadays, as a father If I can get 3 workouts in a week for 20 mins max that is a winner, and actually I have seen better results physically by doing 3 days a week compared to 5 or 6 days a week.

So negating the "so much" part of the question, It brings me to:-

"Why do you workout?"

Of course when I started, If was all about the getting bigger muscles and trying to attain the six pack abs, I mean, the people that have known me the longest especially through uni remember what I looked like and how insecure I was!

I had a way with the ladies at uni and it was usually the lady walking the other way!

But life changes and I realised that I wasn't working out so how could I ever achieve a better and healthier body and life... if I wasn't working out?!

It's a strange concept. I actually had to start doing something for myself to get the results I wanted.

But over the years the "working out" is more than just the gym and the muscles and the sweat.

Working out is working things out.

It's the time where you:-

Work out if you are stronger physically.

Workout if you are mentally strong to get through the workout

Workout the challenges.

Workout the stresses of day.

Workout the worries of the week.

Workout the conversations you have had.

Workout the problems you need to solve at work.

Workout what's next in life.

Workout how to be a better father.

Workout how to be a better partner.

Working out is not just working out its working things out for yourself or with a buddy and just talking that sh*t through with your gym buddy.

Working out is good for all parts of you.

That's why I work out.

The looking and feeling better is just a bonus! 😜

If you are looking for a coach to become stronger physically with the addition of fat loss and feeling better in yourself and the ability to say "YES!" to more things in life get in contact!
